What is screen printing?

Screen printing is a printing technique where a blade or squeegee pushes ink through a mesh stencil (commonly referred to as a screen) onto a substrate. Each screen holds only one color of ink, but may be aligned with additional screens to produce more complicated, layered designs.

This method of printing is labor intensive, as each screen must be hand made, aligned, and printed. Although there's a lot of know-how to produce quality prints, screen printing is undeniably the optimal way to print bulk runs, as it produces more vibrant colors, at a faster rate of production than other methods of printing. At TshirtSquid, we rely on two different screen printing methods to produce our quality products.
